FAQ
- Frequently Asked Questions
1.
Are there any side-effects using GH3?
2. Are there any adverse interactions with
other medications?
3. Are there any risks for overdosing GH3?
4. Cancer: does GH3 cure it?
5. Are there any allergies caused by the use
of GH3?
6. Are there any physical/psychological reactions?
7. Why does depression go away using GH3?
8. When do you start taking GH3?
9. Is the GH3 phenomena nothing more than "placebo
effect"?
10. Neurological diseases: are there any benefits
achieved by GH3 usage?
11. What is the correct description for GH3,
is it a drug or a vitamin?
12. What if no change is felt say, after one
month?
13. Is all the GH3 on sale the same?
1. Through the 48 years of research and
usage, it has never shown adverse side-effects.
2. Where other medication has a sulphur
base (some antibiotics for instance), GH3 has been found
to neutralise them.
3. Research shows that even when laboratory
rats were given 60 times the normal daily dose, they suffered
no side-effects. Bear in mind that when a product is "natural";
that is to say its active ingredients are natural to the
body, the immune system provided by the body will eliminate
unrequired excess quantities. With an "unnatural"
product (many drugs for instance) the body has no defence
against them, and may well suffer irreversible damage and
even death.
4. No! Research shows that laboratory rats
first treated with GH3 successfully resisted attempts to
establish the disease in them through the injection of live
cancer cells.
5. The Romanians researchers indicate that
1 person in 6,000 is allergic. The allergy is not severe;
usually just a prickling sensation of the skin and a slight
rash.
6. Research shows that some have a mild
headache and slight feeling of nausea for two to three days.
This is explained as arising from the system "adjusting"
to the new input and in particular being detoxified by the
potent antioxidant element of GH3.
7. The depression in old people is often
caused by a build up in the brain of a substance called
MAO. This is a vital substance to the body's correct functioning,
but when it is present in excessive quantities depression
follows automatically. The DEAE factor in GH3 balances MAO
out to a correct level thus overcoming depression. It is
the only "safe" product capable of doing this
without damaging the mechanism which produces MAO.
8. According to Professor Aslan GH3 will
not pass the placental barrier, which she considered unfortunate,
because "it could only benefit the unborn infant".
However, as it will stimulate the healthy condition of the
mother, this in itself will obviously benefit the baby.
9. In individual cases, the placebo effect
is a factor in all forms of medication and treatment, dependant
on the patient's susceptibility to suggestion. Obviously
GH3 is no different in this respect. However, as research
shows conclusively that many patients suffering from complete
senility have "come back" to total mental recall
after receiving GH3, it is reasonable to assume that the
placebo effect was not present in their cases. They had
in effect "no mind" on which it could work. (Aslan
1972).
10. There are many recorded cases of significant
benefits with this type of problems. GH3 appears to have
a particular affinity for nerve tissue and has on many occasions
achieved results without side-effects, in advance of alternative
treatments. (Aslan 1972).
11. It is neither. It is specifically a
nutrient, which operates in exactly the same manner as any
other food, i.e. by being absorbed into the circulatory
system, thereby enriching the blood in a manner which stimulates
cellular growth and well being, thus strengthening the myriad
systems within the body - not forgetting the immune system
which is designed to resist infection.
12. Metabolism and absorption rates differ
from person to person. An intestinal cleanser might clean
the colon and intestine to a greater extent, so GH3, or
any other medication for that manner, could be more effectively
absorbed into a cleaner gut.

The American market is flooded with fake GH3®, and
now GH4, GH5, GH6 and GH7! There are a number of companies
selling Gerovital H3 (GH3)® with the pretence of offering
the REAL thing. They say that their product is the "original
formula" when it does not even contain Procaine!
We tested most of these products and discovered that they
DO NOT contain Procaine ! Some manufacturers offer "Procaine
Free" GH3® . They are often a concoction of various
ingredients, (e.g. PABA, DMEA) that have nothing to do with
GH3. DO NOT buy them, they will NOT work! Other products
we tested contain an insignificant or impure form of Procaine
HCl that makes the formula absolutely useless and, it might
in some cases, be harmful to your health! Some dotcom companies
operating from "offshore" maildrop addresses,
make exaggerated SPECIAL OFFERS with extra tablets and/or
additional units given away "FREE" on your basic
purchase. Do not be fooled, GH3® is expensive to make
properly and, offering GH3 at cheap prices, can only be
achieved by using cheap ingredients and low quality Procaine.
Do not touch them, they will NOT work!
OUR
GUARANTEE - We only sell the REAL - Pharmaceutical Grade
- GEROVITAL H3 (GH3)®, the ONE that was created by Dr.
Prof. Ana Aslan, here, in Romania. Think about it: if a
company has to put “REAL” on the packaging of its product,
then it probably is not’t! And if it has to call its product
a name other than GH3 – such as GH5, GH6, GH7, GH3 SILVER,
etc. and so on – then it is not’t the original no matter
how convincing such products may look! Some of the companies
we have investigated appear to operate from substandard
and even unhygienic residential locations, and one from
a basement! Do not be fooled by fake Gh3!

WHAT
COULD Gerovital H3 DO FOR...
1.
HOW CAN GH3 INCREASE SEXUAL POTENCY?
Some researchers believe that decreased levels of the neurotransmitter
serotonin lead to impotence.Serotonin is a substrate of
MAO. Ideally, MAO metabolises the serotonin so it will not
become too prominent. Rising levels of MAO, which may appear
after age 45 thus, accompany falling levels of serotonin.
GH3 has a demonstrated ability to inhibit excess MAO. Thus
it may tend to normalise serotonin levels and restore potency.
Estrogen and androgen production can be a factor in sexual
characteristics and performance as well. Parhon, Aslan and
Danila and Untea conducted studies in this area. They concluded
that GH3 with procaine hydrochloride tends to increase deficient
estrogen and androgen levels. It appears that this simulative
effect only occurs where these factors are subnormal.
2. WILL GH3 AFFECT HERPES?
To date, there is noting that will eliminate herpes. However
a relevant research study was conducted by J. Earle Officer
of the University of Southern California. He showed that
herpes I and herpes II viruses did not become active in
the presence of GH3
3. WILL GH3 REDUCE CANCER RISK?
There is no definitive answer to this question. Studies
by J Earl Officer also showed that the C-type (cancer producing)
viruses did not become active during GH3 experiments. Dr
Aslan reported a statistical decrease in the appearance
of neoplasms in patient populations using Procaine hydrochloride
GH3, long term.
4. WILL GH3 PREVENT HEART ATTACK OR STROKE?
The evidence remains inconclusive. Studies by Cohen and
Ditman and by Aslan indicated a lowering of cholesterol
levels in patients using GH3 The tendency for the product
to normalise arterial pressure and heart rate also may play
a role in preventing damage to the circulatory system. At
the National Congress of Professors in Italy, 1974 , the
assembled scientists praised GH3`s effectiveness against
the accumulation of blood clots and cholesterol. They also
agreed that it does not pose any health risks. Soon after
beginning to take GH3 some people show an increase in cholesterol.
Importantly, this level is measured in the blood. A temporary
rise may indicate a mobilisation of the arterial deposits.
5. DOES GH3 WITH PROCAINE HAVE ANY EFFECT ON ALLERGIES?
The body's immune system responds defensively to the presence
of various substances from the environment. However, it
may become sensitised to one of these antigens and over
react. The normal protective response can get out of hand.
The chemical consequences of this natural function gone
awry may become an even larger problem. Histamine output
increases and this may create many of the classic symptoms
of an allergic reaction. Additionally, stress may leave
the body open to an allergic reaction when the adrenal glands
must respond more often. This can lead to a depletion of
vital chemical defences. GH3 may moderate these problems
in several ways: (1) Researchers Ghali, Cohen and Aslan
assert that GH3 is an anti-histamic (44) (2) Bucci has demonstrated
that it moderates the adrenal response. (3) Acetylcholine
is a counterpart of adrenaline. Since DEAE is a precursor
to acetylcholine , it may promote a parasympathetic response
during times of stress.
6. HOW DOES GH3 MAKE HAIR REGROW AND RECOLOUR?
There is certainly ample scientific evidence that GH3 may
help recolor and regrow hair! Once again, the pharmacological
action is not clearly understood. It is known that endocrine
imbalances reduced circulation can lead to the weakening
and thinning of hair. Poor nutrition or nutrition inadequately
communicated to the scalp may result in poor hair quality.
As already documented, GH3 reportedly helps restore endocrine
balance. Gerovital improves circulation to all parts of
the body through vasodilatation. PABA also is believed effective
in improving hair quality. The ionised and stabilised nature
of GH3 may allow the PABA to perform even more effectively.
The regrowing and recoloring of hair does not occur at all
in some people. Even when it does, several years may pass
before appreciable results are obtained. Nutrient or endocrine
deficiencies may not be the cause in some instances of poor
hair quality or hair loss. In these cases GH3 Gerovital
may not help.
7. WILL GH3 FORTIFY THE BODY AGAINST COMMON ILLNESS?
Dr. Aslan and her associates noted that 38% of subjects
using GH3 showed a reduction in absenteeism from work. A
two year study by Untea and Bercu revealed that 76% of labourers
doing piece work increased their incomes during the study
if they were on Gerovital GH3 with procaine HCl. These same
workers experienced better concentration on the job and
an absence of fatigue. As mentioned earlier, a serious influenza
epidemic swept through Europe during one of the Romanian
studies. Dr. Aslan reported a mortality rate of 3.2% in
patients on GH3 In the untreated group, the mortality rate
was 13.9%. An American report noted similar results 3.3%
mortality was found among GH3 users, while the untreated
group showed a 12.0% rate.
8. WHAT IS THE ROLE OF MAO IN DEPRESSION? CAN GH3 CORRECT
IT?
The neurotransmitters serotonin and noreprinephrine apparently
are needed for proper neural responses. Most researchers
believe that deficient levels result in depressive syndromes.
This soon leads to fatigue pessimism, withdrawal and inadequate
functioning. MAO is believed to metabolise these neurotransmitters
so they will not become too prominent. If they were, it
might result in excess neural firing and "manic"
behaviour. Conversely, if MAO builds up to a higher level,
there may be a deficit of neurotransmitters as the MAO does
its job too well. GH3`s reported capacity to balance MAO
action may reduce the problem. In contrast to many MAO inhibitors
(where a tyramine-restricted diet is needed) Gerovital GH3
acts as a reversible inhibitor of MAO. It isolates the MAO
from the neurotransmitters and thus prevents there over
metabolisation. Under stress or in the presence of tyramine,
the procaine reverses this action so the MAO can perform
its other necessary functions.
9. HOW DOES OSTEOPOROSIS RESPOND TO GH3?
Osteoporosis is primarily caused by a breakdown of bone
structure and a loss of calcified tissue. It generally advances
with age and therefore usually is identified with geriatric
patients. However NASA physicians reported that space travellers
in the weightless condition showed an alarming advance of
osteoporosis. GH3 treated patients have shown a significant
reduction in osteoporosis. Results have been reported both
in preventing and reversing it Gerovital GH3 apparently
encourages the body to retain calcium. Further, researchers
report that over a period of several years remineralization
of the whole skeleton can occur. A general thickening of
the bones has been noted in patients treated with GH3 as
well. Gerovital GH3 may improve osteoporosis by its stimulation
of the estrogens and androgens as previously documented.
These two hormones currently are used as treatments for
the condition.
10. CAN Gerovital H3 (GH3) DO ANYTHING FOR SICKLE-CELL
ANAEMIA?
Researchers in one laboratory study showed that, when exposed
to procaine, sickled cells would re-oxygenate. They concluded
that procaine in GH3 competes with calcium for membrane
binding sites. Calcium is believed largely responsible for
the brittle form of haemoglobin. This was a laboratory study
only. However, the investigators took the position that
procaine held promise for controlling sickle-cell deformity.
11. WHAT EFFECT DOES GH3 HAVE ON BLOOD SUGAR ABNORMALITIES?
There is no extensive data on the subject. One study showed
easier management of blood sugar level in diabetics using
GH3 as an adjunct to insulin. It also suggested that blood
sugar levels tended to become normal in cases where the
values were aberrated slightly.
12. WILL GH3 HELP REDUCE STRESS?
GH3 exhibits anti-adrenergic properties and functions as
a muscle relaxant. Both these factors may provide greater
resistance to stress. As already explained, DEAE participates
in the production of acetylcholine, the counterpart of adrenaline.
GH3 facilitates both the elimination of toxins and the inhibition
of excess MAO. Researchers consider these factors aspects
of stress reduction as well.
13. DOES GH3 HELP MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS PATIENTS?
Dr. Gohbrandt, a West German surgeon, conducted a clinical
trial with 87 multiple sclerosis patients. The GH3 treated
subjects showed "remarkable improvement" No extensive
clinical investigation has been undertaken in this area.
14. WHAT WILL GH3 DO FOR BODY WEIGHT?
Once again, GH3 may act as a balancing factor. Clearly patients
in a state of degeneration may fail to maintain a minimum
safe body weight. Some geriatric patients, for example gradually
"waste" away as they lose lean tissue. Studies
demonstrate that the anabolic properties of GH3 can promote
weight gain. At the same time, a slow metabolic rate can
result in the failure to catabolize undesired body fat.
Clinical inquiry suggests that Gerovital H3 increases a
deficient basal metabolic rate.
15. HOW DOES GH3 AFFECT THE SKIN?
Medical research indicates that GH3 may contribute to the
disappearance of age spots and wrinkles. GH3 may improve
skin elasticity and promote faster healing. These changes
may result largely from improved circulation to the skin
surface. Many users of GH3 are reported to have that "youthful"
appearance which belies their chronological age. These observations
are not necessarily far-fetched. We can assume that first
impressions of ageing arise primarily from the appearance
of the hair and skin. Both these surface measures of age
seem positively affected by GH3. Scientific reports as a
whole suggests that the Gerovital (GH3) may prolong and
to some extent restore the skin quality.
16. WILL GH3 EXTEND LIFE?
The most significant studies on increased life span were
conducted by Professor Berger in France and by Richard Hochschild
of Corona del Mar, California. They undertook independent
studies. Their results demonstrated that male animals lived
30% longer than the controls. Interestingly, extension of
lifespan in the females was much less. Dr. Aslan`s longitudinal
studies showed a reduction in mortality rate in humans as
well. It is important to remember that the human form has
a limited lifespan potential. Only so many generations of
body cells can be reproduced. The human system is designed
to survive approximately 120 years.
After that, the cells rapidly lose their reproductive capacity.
To whatever extent someone lives less than this may be the
result of stress, accidents or poor overall health management.
Dr. Aslan did not claim that GH3 makes possible the extension
of life beyond this limit, she rather believed that it may
be possible for people to "die young" but at an
advanced age. The goal is to reach an extended age without
the degenerative problems, which too often detract from
the
17. IS IT POSSIBLE TO OVERDOSE ON GH3?
Dr. Bernard Wagner of Columbia University conducted studies
on Gero vital H3 (GH3). He gave subjects more than 60 times
the normal equivalent dosage of GH3 for more than four months.
He determined that there is no build up of procaine in the
cells. In this sense, the procaine acts no differently than
other water soluble B-vitamins. Dr. Wagner and most other
investigations agree that GH3 acts on sites in the body
in a benign fashion. It dose not damage tissues or alter
the basic structure of the organism.
18. DOES GH3 CURE HEALTH PROBLEMS?
The word cure is improper because we are discussing a nutrient.
Dr. Aslan points out that the real value of GH3 is that
it can be used nutritionally to reinforce specific medical
treatments of health programs. Gerovital also may provide
a measure of protection against health problems which otherwise
would develop.
19. IS GH3 HABIT FORMING?
Some users report strong attachments to Gerovital H3 (GH3)
health benefits. However, they cannot become physically
dependent on it. Pharmacological investigation by Goodman
and Gilman concludes procaine HCl in GH3 is incapable of
causing addiction.
20. WHY ARE SULFONAMIDES AND NIACIN CONTRAINDICATED FOR
GH3?
Both sulpha drugs and straight niacin (not niacin as part
of a multi-vitamin) can neutralise the effects of the procaine.
However GH3 does not interact with them in a harmful manner.
PABA is antagonistic to sulphonamides and therefore will
cause a mutual decrease in effectiveness. Niacin dilates
the blood vessels to such an extent that procaine is forced
quickly out of the system.
21. CAN GH3 PROMOTE DETOXIFICATION?
The mild toxins, which accumulate in the body from food
and water, may be purged on GH3 This detoxification resembles
that experienced on a sudden change of nutritional intake,
fasting or a vitamin program. Such a "healing crisis"
usually features headache, mild nausea or flu like symptoms.
Somewhat less that 20% of GH3 users experience these reactions.
22. WHY IS A RESTING PERIOD RECOMMENDED EACH MONTH?
A brief resting period, where no GH3 is taken, is recommended
for GH3 Taking any vitamins without a break may eventuate
in decreased responsiveness on the part of the body. Stopping
Gerovital for a few days each month allows the cells time
to recover their sensitivity.
23. WHY HAS THE ISSUE OF GH3 BEEN OBSCURED?
As briefly touched upon previously GH3 probably has not
been obscured as much as neglected. An allopathically oriented
medical establishment logically would suppress an inexpensive
vitamin, which appears to improve a large range of physical
ills. However, the facts do not substantiate this assumption.
Actually, many physicians support GH3 and make it available
to their patients. They believe that GH3 may do some good,
while it can`t do any harm.
The thousands of investigations on GH3 generally do not
appear in the major medical journals in America. On the
contrary, reports suggesting low efficacy have received
more press. Importantly, 85% of research on GH3 backs up
DR Aslan`s original claims. 100% of studies using the true
formulation resulted in conclusions parallel to those of
Dr. Aslan's Gerovital.
The state of the art in medicine, as in many fields, develops
through the flow of information in trade journals. If a
certain advance does not appear, then the practitioners
of the field cannot use it. In the medical field, failure
to practice the state of the art may result in lawsuits
and the lifting of one`s licence. In similar fashion, a
licenced person who does not represent the state of the
art stands above reproach.
Another distressing factor is the emphasis on patentable
products. Pharmaceutical representatives encourage the physician
to be "up-to-date". These primary sources of information
lean toward profitable patent drugs. Expensive studies are
a bad investment if a product such as GH3 is not patenable.
Lacking approval as a drug leaves Gerovital with less glamour
in the medical mind. It is then only what it is - a simple
nutrient.
